This search allows users to search for keywords and phrases within evidence transcripts directly from the Evidence Search page.

Note: Transcript search is not available within Cases. Searches must be performed from the Evidence Search page.

Search Capabilities


Exact Text Matches

Auto Transcribe supports exact text matching and does not support phonetic matching.

Example:

  • Searching for “John” may return: 
    • John 
    • Johnathan 
  • It will not return: 
    • Jon 


Phrase Matching

Phrase searches are supported.

  • Evidence containing the exact matching phrase will rank higher in the search results 
  • Evidence containing only some matching words may still appear lower in the results 


Filter Support

Transcript searches can be combined with other filters to narrow search parameters.

Searching with Auto Transcribe

  1. Open the Evidence Search page 
  2. Select Advanced Filter Search 
  3. In the Audio Transcript filter, enter: 
    1. A keyword 
    2. Or a string of keywords 
  4. Press Enter

Viewing Search Results


In the  Matched On column:

  • Select Transcript to reveal thumbnail previews of evidence containing the searched keyword or phrase 
  • Selecting a thumbnail opens the evidence to the exact moment the word(s) appear in the transcript and are spoken in the video 
  • Selecting Details Page in the lower-right corner opens the Evidence Details page to review and play the related video evidence
