Camera Mode Definitions

  • Ready (Buffering) –

The camera is powered on and continuously capturing video in a temporary buffer. This mode enables pre-event recording.



  •  Recording (Event) –

Camera is recording

 

 

Power Camera On

To power on the AB4 camera:

 

  • Press and hold the Power button until you feel a short vibration
  • The camera will emit two short – rising pitch tones and a long vibration
  • The camera enters Ready (buffering) mode

 

 

 

Ready (Buffering) Mode

While in Ready mode:

 

  • The camera display shows READY
  • The Operation LED (top of the camera) blinks green A small rectangle representing the LED color.
  • The camera captures video continuously but does not save it unless recording begins.

 

                🛈 Buffered footage is automatically saved when an event is triggered.

 

 

Start Recording Mode (Event)

To begin active recording:

  • Double tap the Event button.
  • The camera:
    1. Emits two short tones and two short vibrations.
    2. Displays STARTING and then the recording icon
    3. The Operation LED on the camera blinks red A small rectangle representing the LED color.
  • Every 2 minutes the camera will emit two short tones and two short vibrations as a recording reminder

 

 

Stop Recording Mode (Event)

To stop recording:

  • Press and hold the Event button for 3 seconds
  • The camera will emit a long tone and vibrate
  • The camera returns to Ready (buffering) Mode.
