Pairing Body Worn Camera (BWC)

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to pair your Body Worn Camera (BWC) with various Axon applications used within the Agency. 


 

Fleet Dashboard

This task must be completed each time you change vehicles or every 10 days while using the same vehicle.

Pair the BWC

  1. Ensure the BWC is assigned to you.
  2. Turn on the BWC.
  3. On the MDT, sign in to Fleet Dashboard.
  4. Click Settings (gear icon).
  5. In the Users section, select Add Device.
  6. Select the appropriate Axon camera model.
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions to place the BWC in pairing mode.
  8. Once the on-screen pairing instructions disappear, the BWC has been detected.
  9. Verify that the BWC appears on the Devices screen in the lower-right quadrant of Fleet Dashboard.

 

 

Axon (phone app)

If your vehicle is not equipped with a Fleet 3 In – Car camera system, or if you prefer to use your mobile device to connect to your BWC.

 

iPhone Version: 

  • Ensure the BWC is assigned to you.
  • Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone.
  • Open the Axon application
  • Tap My Devices in the toolbar.
  • Verify that you are pairing the correct BWC by comparing the serial number on the back of the camera with the serial number displayed in the app.
  • Tap the corresponding BWC serial number in the app.
  • Place the BWC in pairing mode.
  • The Axon application and BWC will automatically complete the bonding process.
