Purpose: New Verizon Protocol (Disconnecting Lines)


Instructions:

Step 1Log in to Verizon

Step 2: Locate the line you need to disconnect.

Step 3: Under Device Information, if there is an Offer Recovery Fee or ORF of any price, then continue to step 4


If it doesn’t have a fee, disconnect the line per usual. (How To: Disconnect a Verizon MiFi)


Step 4: Scroll down & open Manage Plans

Step 5: Search for plan 59889

Step 6: Scroll down to Make it effective on > select Today’s Date > then submit it.

Step 7: Write .35 Standby on a sticky note & put it on the MiFi before placing it back in inventory.


Outcome: The device is on a standby plan that costs $0.35/month to avoid paying for an OTF fee by disconnecting it. We can swap the MiFi back to our regular $35/month plan when needed.
